FORCE UPGRADING WINDOWS 10

Its been a week long, Microsoft has released Windows 10 for the public. As they stated, they released on July 29 and everyone were excited to upgrade their windows to the latest and most anticipated version of Windows. But then, Microsoft thew a small disappointment saying that the update will be released in waves i.e. batch by batch, and you never gonna know when the update is going to land on your PC.

But, few geeks out there,, had already figured out how to force your windows to start downloading it, as stated in this link:
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/72714/20150729/cant-wait-for-windows-10-heres-how-to-force-your-system-to-update.htm

Although the trick worked out for many, still a large people were unable to make it going. For some, windows update said "no updates available" and their "get windows 10" notification was still asking them to wait, till it notifies them.

Even, I was trying to make my windows download Windows 10 from the steps in the above link, but went vain. So, finally this trick worked for me.

Before you proceed to any of the steps, download the windows update troubleshooter from this link:http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab

This will check for any errors in your windows update and rectify it.

Then do as mentioned in the former link:
1) Find C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder and delete all the files in it.
2) Run cmd as admin, and just type "wuauclt.exe/updatenow. Do NOT enter
3)Now, go to windows updates and click "Check for updates". Let it run for about 10 seconds
4)Now press enter, in the cmd window you already kept readily typed.
5)Windows 10 download process will now start.

Windows 8.1 Failed to connect to Windows services Error

Recently, I had my Lenovo running Windows 8.1 shutdown and then start it back later. But then, while logging in, i had this unusual screen showing "Please wait...." for more than 5 minutes..
I thought there must be some update process going on.. So, after a long time, my laptop booted to my normal desktop. Then i had this following unsual stuff happening:

  1) None of my browsers(Google Chrome and Comodo Dragon) opened the instant I clicked them.
Only Internet Explorer launched immediately. Both the browsers turned up after a very long time since i clicked them, say about 15 mins

2) Creating "New Folder", Right clicking a folder... All this stuff did not happen.. i.e. Windows Explorer hung and I had to force close it

3)Video files with VLC opened with no audio for the first few seconds.

4) Most important: I had a message popping out "Failed to connect to windows service...Group Domain Policy"

After all these signs, i realized that something had seriously affected my laptop. So after few web searches, I found out that, Sometimes, when Windows boots up, due to only a particular time being given for few services to launch. This problem has something to do with this, Hence, I got a very simple solution from the internet, to solve this issue:
1.  command prompt, right click - run as administrator
2. Type,  netsh
3. Type , winsock reset
4. Restart your computer
